TV on the Go!
No longer are we chained to our TV sets to watch our favorite shows! We can now watch TV shows online. Imagine being able to watch shows on your tablet or laptop while waiting in the dentist's office or on vacation, laying on the beach. So now the question is: What website do we choose? There are many out there - some free and some not.
Free Sites
First, make sure when accessing a free site that it really is free. Some may try and make you sign up for the service which might include hidden fees, so read anything you are asked to agree to very carefully. A few trusted sites to try are TrixTV, Crackle, and SideReel. Networks like ABC and NBC also allow you to watch shows online for free. Not only can you watch shows, but you can also access the network's TV lineup and see sneak peeks of upcoming shows. Many people may not be aware that you can watch TV shows on YouTube. The picture quality may not be as good as some of the other free sites, but it is another choice. Many of these sites also offer old TV shows for those of you that want to take a stroll down memory lane.
Subscription Sites
The two most popular pay sites are Hula and Netflix. You must subscribe to these services and pay a monthly fee. These companies not only offer TV shows, but also movies and documentaries. Netflix has shows created by them and exclusive to their site such as "Orange is the New Black," a very popular series currently. Both Hula and Netflix offer 30-day free trials so you can try before you buy.
Whatever your choice, free or subscription, enjoy your favorite TV shows anytime, anywhere.
